Professional wrestling is an art. The Work of Wrestling Podcast is dedicated to exploring that simple truth. Host Tim Kail, Editor In Chief at www.workofwrestling.com, analyzes wrestling shows, explicates promos, examines social issues, and shares personal stories about pro-wrestling's cultural merit.

May 22, 2017

Work of Wrestling host Tim Kail reviews the latest #SDLive-themed WWE pay-per-view Backlash. Tim covers everything from the lackluster to the sublime. He even offers up a couple good old-fashioned impassioned rants about the state of the Sami Zayn character and the state of Women's Wrestling (the "family friendly" streak of episodes has been broken!) He breaks down the minutest details of the remarkable United States Championship match between Kevin Owens and AJ Styles, and examines the nature of "selling" and "active engagement" in wrestling regardless of style. He also gives a quick review of the main event match, trying his hardest to remain objective in his assessment while also expressing how great it felt to hear the crowd chant "Let's go Jinder!"
